Bossa Studios releases final 2016 Worlds Adrift trailer

Check that goodness out.

Bossa Studios has big plans for their sprawling sandbox MMO Worlds Adrift in 2017, but before the new year rolls in, the team has put together a special trailer that encompasses everything that sets it apart as the game enters its final Alpha test for 2016.

Alien-like flora and fauna haunt the shattered islands that make up the massive game world, bands of pirates team up to build impressive skyships to explore and battle fellow raiders, while the game’s real-time multiplayer physics and persistent gameplay mechanics are on full display.

Worlds Adrift is an unscripted, sandbox game with real-time physics, set in a world that is permanently changed by players’ actions. This new breed of Massively Multiplayer Sandbox Game (MMSG) is set in a universe that was destroyed by the over-mining of its precious levitating mineral, the Atlas stone. All that remains of the planet surface are the thousands of floating islands still rich in the precious mineral and scattered with artefacts from many lost civilisations. Players will build amazing skyships and escape to the clouds, banding together in crews to seek the lost history of this mysterious world. Worlds Adrift is the first game created using Improbable’s unique SpatialOS technology, which allows Bossa Studios to simulate real-world physics and persistency on a scale never achieved before.
