Double Fine and David OReilly’s Everything heading to the Nintendo Switch next week

Such a mesmerizing game, folks. Check out the announcement below.

It’s a new year and that means more new Nintendo Switch games, including Double Fine Presents and David OReilly’s critically acclaimed Everything! The team today announced that the interactive nature simulation will release for Nintendo Switch on January 10, but fans can preorder today and save 20% off of the $14.99 purchase price.

Everything is an interactive experience where everything players see is a thing they can be, from animals to planets to galaxies and beyond. Players can travel between outer and inner space and explore a vast, interconnected universe of things without enforced goals, scores, or tasks to complete. Narrated by the inspiring philosophy of Alan Watts and featuring a rich score from composer Ben Lukas Boysen, Everything is sure to give players a new perspective on life.

Everything released for PlayStation 4 and PC/Mac (itch.io, Steam, Humble) in 2017 and was met with praise, earning spots in several “Game of the Year” lists and winning numerous awards including the “Golden Nica” from Prix Ars Electronica, “Most Amazing Game” from A MAZE, “Most Innovative Game” from Games for Change and more. Additionally, Everything was officially selected to participate in handful of film festivals including the Berlin Film Festival, where it became the first game to ever have a showing. The Everything trailer also made history in 2017 by winning a jury prize at the Vienna Shorts Festival and making it applicable to qualify in the “Animated Short Film” category at the Academy Awards.
