In a world where Immortals have taken over the planet, you are tasked with saving all of humanity along with others like you called Outers. An unknown phenomenon caused AIs to consider humanity as a hostile threat. You fight these AI Immortals in a mech called an Arsenal.

The dialogue is generic, which takes away from the overall beauty of the game’s atmosphere. The game has visual cinematic cutscenes, making them worth watching and not skipping. Anime-like character customization allows for personal style options as well as a variety of different colors and patterns when designing your personalized Arsenal.

The camera is off-centered, instead of being in the middle. This is not a major issue, but it is irritating when trying to do basic movements such as running or looking around. It’s an odd decision to not have a centered camera but you get used to it while playing.

Another feature is online multiplayer, where you have a variety of missions you can complete with others. You can also battle against them in versus combat to see who is the strongest.

Throughout the game, you can unlock specific areas, such as an Ice Cream Parlor or a Lab, that can upgrade your character’s abilities. You can enhance your character with surgical body modifications through a skill tree set up.

These modifications will, in turn, upgrade your Arsenal’s abilities. These can also change the appearance of your character, such as glowing eyes. This is a small cosmetic change, but it is a cool feature to have.

You can use a variety of items to fight the Immortals such as new weapons, armor, and equipment. You complete missions to receive money and buy these items that will help upgrade your arsenal and fight enemies.

The gameplay is fun, especially when fighting the big boss Immortal robots, which can take up a large portion of the map. Although shooting and slashing through waves and waves of common enemies can get tiresome pretty quickly.

Once your mech is destroyed, you can still continue missions on foot, enhancing the combat capabilities of the game, while also giving you a second chance at survival. Albeit, fighting without your Arsenal is hard and you have a greater risk of dying.

Overall, this is a fun game. Upgrading your Arsenal and gaining new weapons and equipment to fight enemies feels very rewarding, especially when fighting the bosses. If you can get past the cheesy dialogue and fighting endless waves of common enemies, you will enjoy this game and all it has to offer.
