Got an NBA fan on your Christmas list? How about a Kobe Bryant fan? Spike Lee and ESPN got together for Kobe: Doin' Work some time ago, but the DVD of the feature just hit shelves yesterday. For a Kobe fan, it's required material, but even those sports fans who aren't superfans of Kobe should give this one a look.
Sam is back and still fighting for his life; in the 70s and in 2008. This time the stakes get bigger, the struggle to survive gets harder and the 'guv' gets brasher.
“The show—in spite of our best efforts—just seemed to constantly refer to underpants.” –Paul Chaplin
In 1999, Brian Henson and Rockne S. O'Bannon got together and launched what many people believe to be one of the best sci-fi shows ever: Farscape. The show would run for four seasons across eighty-eight episodes and garner a massive, and still active, fan base. Farscape has been available on DVD for years now, but never quite like what A&E Home Video is offering up now. Let's take a closer loo...[Read More]
What a fantastic film? I was truly blown away by Gone With The Wind and the restoration of the film. Its simply a remarkable masterpiece.
Drawn Together was an animated show on Comedy Central that looked to capitalize on the popularity of reality TV shows. Specifically, ones like Big Brother and Survivor that have strangers forced to work and live together. While the animation and voiceovers are good, the actual show is comprised of endless attempts at immature comedy that thrives on shock value, toilet humor, and stereotypes. The s...[Read More]

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to buy these, but I am sure that I truly love reviewing them. Enough with the explanation, let's get to the review.
Ah, Lloyd Dobler you are a trip that has lasted 20 years. A character that inspired all nerds, lovable losers and middle of the road nobodies to strive for something that everyone says isn't possible. Thank you, Cameron Crowe.
If there's one thing you can never fault Warner Brothers for it is how they treat their classics. Much like they've done with Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz, Warner Brothers wanted to make sure when it celebrated the 50th Anniversary of North by Northwest that it did it with style and craftsmanship. This reviewer was not disappointed.
For me, Michael J. Fox will always be synonymous with Marty McFly from one of my favorite trilogies of all time, Back To the Future. Of course, he's had quite a career after those films with several other theatrical releases including Doc Hollywood, The Frighteners, and Casualties of War. Fox was also a leading character in Family Ties and more recently, Spin City, a popular sitcom that aired on A...[Read More]
