For some seventy-five years now, Detective Comics, better known as DC Comics, has been inspiring the imaginations of children and adults alike. To help celebrate the occasion and provide fans with an interesting look into this history of DC, a DVD documentary was created known as Secret Origin: The Story of DC Comics. “I only draw my guns if there’s killing to be done” Sound familiar? Well this is not a line from an old Clint Eastwood western, but rather from The Gunslingers. The Dragon Dynasty series marches on with entry number forty-five, Shaolin Mantis, another Shaw Brothers Classic. Starring David Chiang, Shaolin Mantis shows off some excellent bladed weapon and open hand combat as Fei Wung takes on the Tian family and their Shadow Technique.

This release by Magnolia Pictures starring Elijah Wood and John Hurt directed by Alex De La Iglesia centers around a series of murders that take place in Oxford in the present day. Like most mysteries, there is a lull, but the beginning and end make it worth sitting through a bit of an arithmetic lesson.
The Frog Brothers have returned! Well, sorta. Lost Boys continues the vampire fighting with another edition of the movie series in Lost Boys: The Thirst.
