The 90s were host to a variety of great Saturday morning cartoons, including X-Men: The Animated Series. Today's cartoons don't seem to have that same level of quality, but there are some exceptions. One such exception is another X-Men series titled Wolverine And The X-Men, which ran for a scheduled twenty-six episodes and took some of the best elements from another great series, X-Men: Evolution,...[Read More]
Did you know the hit new action show Human Target is based on a comic book? I didn't, but it makes sense given the high flying, adrenaline charged action the show features in every episode. Combining elements from Leverage and Chuck, Human Target's first season takes viewers on twelve action packed episodes of espionage, gadgets, and death-defying adventure. While not always sensible, if you enjoy...[Read More]
Michael Mann's rendition of The Last of the Mohicans, based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper, has received lots of acclaim since it was first released in 1992. Earlier this week Fox released The Last of the Mohicans: Director's Definitive Cut on Blu-ray. Do the presentation quality and extra features make this one deserve a spot in your library?
Still freaking scary after 37 years.
When I hear the name Ken Burns, I automatically think 'epic documentaries,' and PBS. Recently, they compiled an addition to their original documentary and called it Baseball - The Tenth Inning, which took a closer look at the MLB from 1992 to 2009. Today, that doc...[Read More]

Now, along with The Maltese Falcon, Warner Home Video...[Read More]

It's really difficult to label this a 'love story'. It has the makings of an English Patient type storyline, with two characters getting together even though it hurts loved ones around them. Regretfully, it ends much differently.
I love a good horror movie during this time of year. Horror movies just fit into the scheme of things in September/October. Hell, I watch AMC religiously even though I've seen the horror movies they play countless times over the years. The Order should have been a good place to start, especially on Blu-ray. Regretfully, The Order was a bit of a mess, but it looked pretty.
The History Channel has only gotten better over the years. Like other specific interest channels, the History Channel has increased its volume and quality of shows, one of those being the new '360' series. After the success of the Battle 360 series, the creators set out to make an extensive documentary of one of the greatest American generals of all time, George S. Patton, Jr. They've done exactly...[Read More]
I've said this time and time again and I'll say it again; Warner Home Video knows how to treat its classics. 1933 King Kong is another notch in Warner Home Video's belt.
