Every Day

There are some movies that have prepared the story correctly that they can definitely tie up all the loose ends that they have created. Then there are some stories that create loose ends and forget they're not connected to a definitive conclusion. Every Day is the latter.

Last Tango in Paris

Just remember to watch this when the kids go to bed.

Rain Man

I was never sold on Tom Cruise beyond the movie Legend. Much like Brad Pitt, the early films of Tom Cruise put him in the 'pretty boy' light. When he did Rain Man it was a complete game changer for me with Cruise. He took a chance and played a mean, self-centered jerk and he couldn't have been any better in that role.

Moonstruck

Is it sad to say that Nicolas Cage with a Italian/New York accent sounds a lot more intelligent than Nicholas Cage with (fill in the blank) accent? I'm moonstruck by his performance and Cher's.

Megamind

If you told me that Will Farrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fey were going to be involved in a superhero action film that had moments of comedy I would have called you a terrible liar. I'm still in shock.

Let's find out.

Red Hill Blu-ray

The hills are red with blood, or at least the town of Red Hill is in the movie of the same name. Red Hill portrays the story of revenge, growth and duty, all while providing a darker look at humanity.

Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson has taken a couple of years off of action movies to pursue other genres, but he's made a solid return in Faster. Arriving on Blu-ray on March 1st, Faster was directed by George Tillman Jr., written by Tony Gayton and Joe Gayton, and co-stars Billy Bob Thornton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Carla Gugino.
