Dragon’s Crown

Vanillaware always seems ready to strike gold. Their house style has broadcast gorgeous, lavishly detailed art across three different hardware generations and yet their work never rose above cult appreciation. Whether it was Odin Sphere stepping up to properly demonstrate action RPG's on the PlayStation 2 or Muramasa: The Demon Blade's subdued attempt to add legitimacy to the Wii's third party lib...[Read More]

ArcaniA: The Complete Tale

ArcaniA: Gothic 4 is finally arriving to PS3 this week, nearly three years after the PC and 360 version were released. It includes the stand-alone add-on pack, "Fall of Setarrif" too, but the experience is altogether marred by technical issues and lackluster gameplay design, making this version one you should skip.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection (1987-2012)

What were you doing 25 years ago? I was debating with my brother whether we should be playing Commando on the NES or this weird looking game called Metal Gear. While I liked the mech on the front, and the Michael Biehn inspired portrait to go along with it, why would I play this unproven title from Ultra Games over Capcom's Commando? It seemed like a valid question at the time.

Mamorukun Curse!

Top-down shooting games are fun. Ikari Warriors (all of them), Commando and Gun Smoke are some of my favorite. So when I was offered the opportunity to review another one, albeit less 'war' themed, I just couldn't resist.

We'll get there, or somewhere, eventually.

Hotline Miami

Not since the days of NARC have I experienced unnecessarily violent game like Hotline Miami. I absolutely loved every minute of it.

Best of PlayStation Network Volume One

Sony dives into the 'best of' category with their Best of PlayStation Network Volume One, which includes four titles that did well on PSN. Good idea? Perhaps. Let's talk.

The Last of Us

From the creators of Jak & Daxter and Uncharted comes The Last of Us, a new third person adventure that is an absolute must-have.

GRID 2

Codemasters has made a career of perfecting driving games.  From GRID to F1 to DiRT, the developer has certainly done its best work when it comes to players behind the wheel of a mean machine. Sometimes their quest to produce the best ends up outshining some major big budgeted driving simulators.

Metro: Last Light

It's been over three years now since 4A Games and THQ released Metro 2033, which I really enjoyed. Now, 4A and Deep Silver are back with the sequel, Metro: Last Light (MLL). Continuing the grim story of Metro 2033, Last Light once again puts the burden of the fate of humanity on Artyom's shoulders. A true sequel, MLL not only picks up very soon after the events of the original game, but it looks a...[Read More]
