Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge

Let the monkey business begin (again).

Singularity

If you look up Raven Software's portfolio as a developer, you'll find a growing list of classic action titles. Take Soldier of Fortune, Heretic, Jedi Outcast, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, for example. These guys know action gaming and they're back this week with a brand new game and a new IP known as Singularity. I just completed the campaign and had a great time with it -- and while I wouldn't c...[Read More]

Trinity Universe

Trinity Universe is a potent blend of JRPG and turn based strategy wrapped in anime-inspired zaniness. Developed by Idea Factory and Gust, this newest NISA title features two lengthy campaigns with characters from the Disgaea and Atelier series of games. Both campaigns are played in the third person and contain all of the dungeon-crawling-combat-treasure-hunting you can handle, and then some.

Green Day: Rock Band

Are you a fan of Rock Band? How about Green Day? Well then you've no doubt heard about the newest music rhythm game to hit stores today, Green Day: Rock Band. Starring Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool of Green Day, this newest iteration of Rock Band features forty-seven tracks from the award winning trio. Changes to the presentation and a host of unlockable goods related to the band ...[Read More]

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

I've always been a fan of golf, and still consider Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf as one of the best golf games I've played.  Not that EA has to live up to those standards of 1989 golfing, but it has to live up to those standards of 'ease-of-use' and fun.

Backbreaker

With the NHL and NBA seasons winding down, sports fans know what's on the horizon -- the return of American football. 505 Games and NaturalMotion aren't wait for August though. Earlier this week they released a new football game to the masses known as Backbreaker. And while it's certainly no Madden, Backbreaker may be worth a look for hardcore football fans, but even they stand a good chance of be...[Read More]

Dead To Rights: Retribution – GAC Pack DLC

Jack Slate and Shadow are back in a new DLC release for Namco and Volatile Games' Dead To Rights: Retribution. Known as the GAC Pack, for $4.99, players can unlock a new playable episode starring GAC agents instead of Jack and Shadow, as well as a 'survival' mode known as Riot Control. Additionally, the previous DLC content known as the “Jack Pack” and “Shadow Pack” are included, giving players th...[Read More]

Alpha Protocol

Alpha Protocol is like that girl (or guy depending on audience) in college that you think is dating material, but you know that you aren’t going to marry them. You’ll at least have fun until you get bored.

Blur

Over the past year, Activision has sent us enough video about Blur that we probably could have made a pretty exciting movie out of it. Each video seemed exciting, badass and something we should feel cool about playing. Sometimes videos lie about such things. These didn't prepare us enough for such things.

ModNation Racers

Picture Super Mario Kart, but less cutesy and more attitude.

Split/Second

I haven't played a racing title as exciting and addictive as Split/Second in a long time. I've always been more of an arcade racer than a sim one, although I can certainly find enjoyment in both. I thought NFS: Shift did a nice job of blurring the lines between the two, but not since Burnout: Paradise have I really gotten to sink my teeth into a serious arcade racer until Split/Second.

Red Dead Redemption

Reinventing a western genre is not an easy task. Thankfully, Rockstar just reminded us why westerns are great and shouldn't be touched.
