Spaceballs: The 25th Anniversary Edition

Wow, has it been 25 years? I thought I was feeling old after reviewing the Grosse Point Blank 15th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray. I remember seeing Spaceballs in a North Carolina theater in 1987 that only had two films at a time (yes, those existed). I remember laughing my ass off every minute of the film. I can still do that with this release Blu-ray release. Can we talk?

Doom 3 BFG Edition screens, anyone? Enjoy.

If Dishonored goodies weren’t enough to wet your appetite, here are some recently released screens for Doom 3 BFG Edition. Doom fans will have some good memories of these (or nightmares). Regardless, enjoy.

Bethesda releases new screenshots for Dishonored

This game looks phenomenal. I can’t wait to see it in action, as I’m extremely jealous of Eric Layman’s E3 follies with it this past year. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Enjoy the screenshots.

High Fidelity

John Cusack was on a roll with the dark comedies towards the end of the 90s with movies like Pushing Tin and Grosse Point Blank. When 2000 hit he continued the trend with High Fidelity. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion: 15th Anniversary Edition

You know, when this first hit the theaters I simply couldn't wrap my head around why the hell anyone would want to see this.  Just look at it! It yells 'dumb'. There in lies the genius of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. It's dumb, but in the most opposite of ways.I shall explain.

Grosse Point Blank: 15th Anniversary Edition

There's something to be said about a comedy involving hitmen and a 10-year high school reunion. That sounds like the beginning of Godfather Part IV, if you ask me. Thankfully, no one asked me and what came out of that sentence was a dark comedy starring John Cusack as a faltering hitman in Grosse Point Blank.

Clue: The Movie

Unlike Battleship, the movie Clue does a fine job with taking the basic formula of a board game, translating it successfully to film,  and putting together a charming mystery with an even more charming cast to support it.  So, you can understand why I was excited to hear that Paramount was finally bringing this great movie to Blu-ray. It certainly deserves the HD treatment. So, without further del...[Read More]
