Its somewhat convoluted series history and slightly outdated production quality aside, Alien Nation delivers both science fiction action/drama and social commentary, making it notable although not quite spectacular.
If you were already afraid your cell phone might give you a brain tumor, you’ll definitely want to stop using it now.
What just happened?
The first major action movie produced entirely with motion capture live action (referred to as "performance capture"), Beowulf is noteworthy for its production techniques, but not so much for its production quality or story. A project that aims to be as epic as the original tale, the movie unfortunately fails to fulfill its potential and is as disappointing as it is ambitious.
Either the hype for No Country for Old Men is somewhat exaggerated or the movie is too good to be fully appreciated in one viewing.
