Seoul – December 18, 2025 – NEXON’s MapleStory: Idle RPG, a mobile idle RPG co-developed with Able Games, is unveiling ‘Zakum,’ new boss raid content and those who defeat Zakum can earn iconic rewards. Additionally, a Guild Raid will also be added to the update along with new features like Dungeon Presets, Medal and a special event that awaits players in the game.
Infused with the nostalgia of the MapleStory series, MapleStory: Idle RPG brings the beloved MapleStory universe alive through a brand-new idle RPG adventure. Players can experience the classic MapleStory charm through accessible auto-battle features that allow characters to progress even while offline. With diverse gear collection, skill mastery, and extensive character customization, fans can enjoy casual yet rewarding gameplay.
In MapleStory: Idle RPG ‘Zakum’ Boss Raid Content Update, players will enjoy key features such as battling iconic boss Zakum, boss raid rewards, Guild Raid, “Honorable Rock” recognition, Medal System and a Dungeon Preset! Players can also participate in upcoming Christmas-Themed in-game events to celebrate the holiday season.

‘Zakum’ Boss Raid – The new Boss Raid content allows players to form parties of up to four members and challenge the iconic MapleStory boss Zakum.

Iconic ‘Zakum’ Boss Raid Rewards – Players can obtain up to three entry tickets per week to attempt the raid and earn iconic rewards such as Zakum’s Helmet and the Aquatic Letter Eye Accessory. For those without entry tickets, players can still enter the raid in Practice Mode, choosing between Easy, Normal or Hard modes.

Guild Raid – Starting on December 26 at 3:00 AM PST (8:00 PM KST), NEXON will open the Guild Raid for players who successfully cleared the Normal mode. Up to eight guild members can form a party to challenge Zakum together, with rewards granted based on the boss’s remaining HP at the end of the battle.

“Honorable Rock” Recognition – Notably, the first ten guilds on each server to successfully defeat Zakum in the Guild Raid will receive special recognition, with their guild members’ names recorded on the in-game “Honorable Rock.”

Medal System – A new Medal system will be introduced, allowing players to earn and equip medals by fulfilling specific conditions. Players who have equipped medals will have those displayed beneath their nickname, with certain medals granting inventory effects.

Dungeon Preset – A new Dungeon Preset feature has also been added, allowing players to save and apply customized setups such as skills, companions, abilities and Artifact tailored to individual dungeons.

Christmas-Themed In-Game Events – To celebrate the holiday season, NEXON is also rolling out a variety of Christmas-themed in-game events for players to enjoy.
