Final Fury fighting its way to VR on May 8th

I had better get my shoulder stretches going for this one. Enjoy the official goods below.

Los Angeles, CA (April 23, 2025), [for immediate release]:  FINAL FURY, the VR fighting game inspired by arcade classics, launches into Early Access on Meta Quest and Steam VR on May 8th, priced at $9.99.

Players face off against the galaxy’s fiercest fighters—offline or across the world in multiplayer with rollback netcode. Every punch, every block, every special attack is powered by hand gestures and actually moving.

FINAL FURY is developed by Kluge Interactive, creators of the best-selling VR/MR game Synth Riders. To show its love of fighting games, the team enlisted competitive fighting legend and nine-time EVO champion, Justin Wong. With Justin’s advice, FINAL FURY’s pacing, mechanics, and overall feel have been refined to hit all the right notes for fighting game purists and first-time combatants alike.

“When the team at Kluge Interactive first approached me about FINAL FURY, I was intrigued by their vision of integrating classic fighting game mechanics into a first-person VR experience. After playing and providing feedback on elements like dashes, grabs, and character play styles, I’m excited to see how players will engage with the game when it releases into Early Access.”

After early FINAL FURY playtests, the development team took a long look at evolving the core gameplay. The team examined what could be done to really make players feel like the fighters. The process is covered in great detail on the FINAL FURY blog. Since then, alpha playtests have opened for the community to help.

Like any good fighter, the team is always looking for ways to make FINAL FURY better, and that’s why the game is launching into Early Access. The game already features SIX fighters with unique moves and stages, and the developer promises to improve and expand from here thanks to the input from players that have already contributed valuable feedback.
