After the debut of TFT’s newest set, Into the Arcane, at the TFT Macao Open in December, the journey to crown the next Champion continues. The Into the Arcane Tactician’s Crown will take place March 14-16, bringing together the top 40 players from across four pan-regions to compete for the title and the $150K USD grand prize.
Tournament Overview
The Tactician’s Crown will feature 40 players representing four pan-regions:
- APAC: 12 players (+1 for TC Winner, +1 for Regional Performance)
- CN: 10 players
- AMER: 9 players (+1 for Regional Performance)
- EMEA: 9 players (+1 for Regional Performance)
The event will span three action-packed days, with competitors battling for their share of the $470K USD prize pool.
Prize Pool Breakdown
The total prize pool for the tournament is $470K USD. The champion will take home $150K USD, with additional prizes for all competitors.
Event Format
The competition will be structured as follows:
Day 1
- 40 players will be drawn into their 5 starting lobbies and play 6 games total
- The lobbies will shuffle after every 2 games
- After Game 6, the top 32 players will advance to Day 2, and the bottom 8 players will be eliminated
Day 2
- Players retain their points from Day 1
- 32 players will be split into 4 lobbies and play 2 games
- After Game 2, the top 24 players will advance and the bottom 8 players will be eliminated
- 24 players will be split into 3 lobbies and play 2 games
- After Game 4, the top 16 players will advance and the bottom 8 players will be eliminated
- 16 players will be split into 2 lobbies and play 3 games
- The lobbies will shuffle after 2 games
- After Game 7, the top 8 players will advance to the Grand Final
Grand Final
- Checkmate Format – The first player to hit 20 points AND then secure a first-place finish will be crowned the Into the Arcane Champion!
Regional Performance Update for Set 14+
Starting with Set 14, the regional performance slots for future Tactician’s Crown events will be determined based on the total points of the top 4 players from each pan-region after Day 2.
