This game looks quite cool. It’s definitely a clever use of AR. Not to say that Pokemon GO! doesn’t do it well, but probably not this well. Check out the new trailer and details about the game below. Clever stuff.
In the game, each US state is assigned a unique Overbeast from a parallel universe that descends upon your local neighborhood using immersive AR technology. The Overbeast start out as embryos at the beginning of each month’s gameplay cycle and eventually grows to be the size of a skyscraper!
Players must nurture a virtual forest for seeds to strengthen their Overbeast, preparing it for battle against beasts from other states. Not only does the game compel players to get outside for exciting battles, but with an environmentally-focused storyline, it increases their appreciation of the natural world that surrounds them. The next Ultimate Overbeast battle will happen on May 22 – you won’t want to miss out!
