Check out those Eleventh Hour details. Gosh, I waited too long to type that. Anyway! Enjoy them!!
Specialists, get ready to jump into Battlefield™ 2042’s Season 4: Eleventh Hour today!
Taking the fight to the rocky landscapes of South Africa, Season 4’s new head-to-head-focused map, Flashpoint, presents players with a unique set of challenges. Vehicles can take cover outside, while players caught up in close-quarters combat in the map’s ample interior spaces – including an underground tunnel where players are forced to take up arms in face-to-face combat encounters.
New Specialist and reconnaissance expert, Camila “Blasco”, comes equipped with customized tactical gear to move through the landscape without alerting any motion-based technology. Her unique specialty gadget – the X6-Infiltration Device – prevents lock-ons from hostile devices, interferes with active spotting technology and creates dead zones, pinpointing and revealing enemy tech within its range until destroyed or deactivated.
Below is a quick breakdown of additional Season 4 content:
-
New Weapon – Super 500 Shotgun Sidearm: a short-range, pump action compact firearm that is meant for breaching purposes, but can also be adapted for extremely close quarter combat.
-
New Weapon – RM68: an adaptable assault rifle loaded with a built-in silencer, offering counter-weight for improved stability and recoil control.
-
New Weapon – AC9 SMG: a lightweight machine gun with special receiver ergonomics to maximize control in fast hipfire exchanges.
-
New Weapon – RPT-31 LMG: a larger machine gun with a low-rate-of-fire, heavy hitting rounds, a very fast bullet speed and a unique “flip-scope” attachment.
-
New Gadget – SPH Explosive Launcher: a harbinger of sticky explosives that are capable of attaching to players, objects and vehicles, making it the perfect destruction tool and anti-infantry combat weapon.
-
New Vehicle – CAV-Brawler: This maneuverable IFV-type vehicle traverses through small spaces and protects soldiers. In addition to its active threat detection and a close defense system that throws grenades in all directions, this vehicle functions as a team spawner, allowing allies to spawn next to the vehicle, even when full.
These core content additions are available to all players as part of the Free tier in Battlefield 2042’s Battle Pass*; additional cosmetic items can be earned through a Premium version of the Battle Pass**.
Season 4 brings with it the return of the beloved Battlefield Class System, with Specialists being divided into one of four classic and familiar classes: Assault, Engineer, Recon and Support. This new system also redefines the gear and equipment Specialists have access to, creating a more structured and understandable role for players.
Coming later this season, the next map in the series of reworked experiences is Discarded, featuring improved sightlines and visibility, variety of cover to improve infantry combat, better control points, entirely new areas on the map and more.
