LOS ANGELES — Dec. 6, 2021 — The Game Awards, the video game industry’s biggest annual year-end celebration, has revealed its second-annual Future Class list, composed of 50 talented individuals around the world who represent the bright, bold and inclusive future of video games.

The Game Awards Future Class features a diverse group of builders, thinkers and dreamers whose voices elevate and diversify the artform of gaming and whose passion makes the industry stronger. With backgrounds ranging from game development to content creation to academia to healthcare and more, this prestigious group of individuals includes:

The Game Awards 2021 Future Class members will be honored during the live, in-person event on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT. The Game Awards will air as a free global 4K UHD livestream across more than 40 global videos, social, and gaming platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.

“When we founded The Game Awards Future Class in 2020, we wanted to spotlight the diverse group of forward thinkers who are elevating and evolving the art form of gaming through their passion for the space,” said Geoff Keighley, Executive Producer of The Game Awards. “The 2021 Future Class includes individuals from a variety of backgrounds within and outside of the games industry; showcasing the expansive reach of games as a medium for entertainment and beyond. To bring the Future Class initiative to life, The Game Awards has partnered with the talented, New York-based artist, Khari Turner, to create a unique piece inspired by water, people, and interconnection. This painting represents the many walks of life that The Game Awards’ diverse and unique Future Class members come from, and the strong connection and the human experiences that have brought them together, which will be shown during The Game Awards on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
