Flynn: Son of Crimson, by Studio Thunderhorse, releases tomorrow, September 15 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
In Flynn: Son of Crimson, the peaceful and beautiful island of Rosantica is under threat once more by a relentless evil. The magical barrier between Rosantica and The Scourge has started to crack, allowing dangerous creatures to slowly seep back in to try and take over the island. Flynn stumbles upon this invasion and discovers he must stand up against the evil from The Scourge to stop its spread into Rosantica. Accompanied by his mythical companion Dex, Guardian Spirit of the Land, Flynn will be challenged by the evil from The Scourge and its powerful overlord.
Into the Pit, from Nullpointer Games, which recently debuted at Gamescom, releases on October 19 for Xbox One and PC. The game will also be available during Steam’s NextFest.
In Into the Pit, you play as a member of a family of lore-hunting mystics. You and your cousin Luridia separately wander the land following rumors of occult power. After discovering a demonic pit in a nearby village, Luridia’s once prolific letters grow silent. Something has gone terribly wrong. Now it is up to you to journey to the desolate hamlet under dark eldritch skies. What did Luridia discover? And what great power has this village unearthed?
Unpacking, the lovable and coziest game of all from Witch Beam, releases on November 2 for PC, Xbox One, Switch, Linux and MacOS.
Unpacking is a zen game about the familiar experience of pulling possessions out of boxes and fitting them into a new home. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration, you are invited to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the life you’re unpacking. Over the course of eight house moves, you are given a chance to experience a sense of intimacy with a character you never see and a story you’re never told.
Critically acclaimed (and quite adorable!) The Wild at Heart from developer Moonlight Kids expands its community as it launches for PS4 and Switch on November 16.
The Wild at Heart is a story-rich action-adventure game about childhood escapism. Players take command of a magical swarm of curious creatures to battle precarious wildlife and supernatural foes, construct and craft new pathways, and discover the secrets of a forgotten world. Fans of The Wild at Heart can also chill out to a new lo-fi track created in collaboration with artist, dyru.jk, and lo-fi artist, lofiliamusic, here.
