LOS ANGELES – Dec. 5, 2019 – KartRider: Drift, the highly anticipated kart racing game revealed recently at X019, begins Closed Beta testing today on Steam, Nexon Launcher, and Xbox One, including Xbox One X. Players accepted into the Closed Beta can enter starting Thursday, December 5 at 5pm PST until Sunday, December 8 at 5 pm PST.
During the Closed Beta period, players will get to choose from different characters such as Dao, Bazzi, Brodi, and an array of colorful kart options. As players enter the Closed Beta, they will enjoy customizing their characters and karts with different boosters, wheel types, and more showing off their personality as they cross the finish line.
Three specific game modes will be made available during the Closed Beta test period including Speed Mode, Item Mode and Time Attack Mode.
Speed Mode is a highly competitive mode within the game that prepares players for the art and skill of drifting.
Item Mode is perfect for new players looking to familiarize themselves with the controls as they use various items in order to get ahead of opponents within the race, including objects such as mines, clouds, UFOs and more.
Time Attack Mode is for players looking to improve their time and skills as they race against their own shadow to beat their previous record.
Originally launched in 2004, KartRider is a massively popular kart racing game developed by Nexon, which has since generated over 380 million players on PC in Asia. Making its debut to global audiences, KartRider: Drift is a cross-platform free-to-play game available on Steam, Nexon Launcher, and Xbox One, including Xbox One X. The game allows players to race, compete against one another, and customize characters and karts.
KartRider: Drift Closed Beta will be available across different regions worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Korea. For console players, KartRider: Drift will be available everywhere with the exception of Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan.
