Dauntless surpasses 6 million player mark

Quite the feat. Enjoy the goods.

Phoenix Labs announced that Dauntless, the recently released free-to-play co-op action RPG, surpassed 6 million players within its first week – doubling its player count since the PC Open Beta. Phoenix Labs has worked tirelessly to expand player capacity, improve connectivity, optimize queue loads and iterate on player feedback.

Dauntless hit several milestones in its first week. Players worldwide logged over 20 million hunts, surpassing 15 million hours played while 60% of hunting parties consisted of cross-platform players. Together Slayers defeated over 13 million Behemoths.

Bruna and Max, Ramsgate’s loyal dog friends, were pet an incalculable number of times.

Dauntless launched May 21 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Epic Games store with true cross-play and cross-progression support. “One Dauntless,” the cross-play and cross-progression vision Phoenix Labs set forth to achieve at launch, is a first for the games industry.

Phoenix Labs put together an infographic outlining these week 1 accomplishments (below).
