Today, iam8bit announced that pre-orders for The Messenger limited edition 2-LP vinyl soundtrack are now live. The soundtrack is available for pre-order on iam8bit.com for $40 and is expected to ship Q2 2019.
The Messenger soundtrack was composed by chiptune artist Rainbowdragoneyes and won “Best Music” at the 2017 Montreal Indie Game Festival. The 2-LP vinyl set includes The Messenger (Original Soundtrack} Disc I: The Past and Disc II: The Future, as well as a digital download of the album.
The Messenger is a side-scrolling, 2D action-platformer by Canadian independent developer Sabotage Studio. The game launched on Steam/Windows PC and Nintendo Switch on August 30, 2018 and is published by Devolver Digital. The Messenger also won “Best Debut Indie Game” in the 2018 Game Awards and is recently nominated with Sabotage for “Best Debut” in the 2019 Game Developers Choice Awards.

These are two distinct soundtracks borne of different eras, yet bonded by ninja sweat and demon blood. They are ambitious, addictive and totally awesome.
