Jan. 10, 2019 – Today, Double Fine Presents and David OReilly announced the launch of hit game, Everything, for the Nintendo Switch. The critically acclaimed title is available now via the Nintendo eShop for $14.99 (USA, Europe).
Everything is an interactive experience where everything players see is a thing they can be, from animals to planets to galaxies and beyond. Players can travel between outer and inner space, and explore a vast, interconnected universe of things without enforced goals, scores, or tasks to complete. The game is narrated by the inspiring philosophy of Alan Watts, and features a rich score from composer Ben Lukas Boysen.
Everything released for PlayStation 4 and PC/Mac (itch.io, Steam, Humble) in 2017 and was met with praise, earning spots in several “Game of the Year” lists and winning numerous awards including the “Golden Nica” from Prix Ars Electronica, “Most Amazing Game” from A MAZE, “Most Innovative Game” from Games for Change and was curated for exhibition by David Lynch at the Festival of Disruption. Additionally, Everything was officially selected to participate in a handful of film festivals including the Berlin International Film Festival, where it became the first game to ever have a showing. The Everything trailer also made history in 2017 by winning a jury prize at the Vienna Shorts Festival and making it applicable to qualify in the “Animated Short Film” category at the Academy Awards.
