Osaka – Sept. 20, 2018 – PLAYISM in partnership with KADOKAWA Corporation are proud to announce two new trial games for Pixel Game Maker MV – currently available for Early Access on the PC gaming platform Steam. Dungeon of Nazarick, a platformer based on the popular anime series Overlord, and Steel Sword Story, a side-scroller action title created by 8bits Fanatics the acclaimed indie studio behind 1001 Spikes, are both to be released as trial games highlighting the diverse and fun actions games that can be created on Pixel Maker MV and will be demoed at Playism’s booth at Tokyo Game Show.
DUNGEON OF NAZARICK, the original action game created using Pixel Game Maker MV, begins when a mysterious tomb has been discovered on the outskirts of the Re-Estize Kingdom. As a top-notch adventurer, you’ve received an obscene amount of money to explore and inspect said tomb. Keeping your wits on high alert, you take your first step into the tomb. Thus begins a terrifying ordeal from which only death itself could possibly save you…
STEEL SWORD STORY, a side-scrolling action platformer developed by 8bits Fanatics (creators of 1001 Spikes) in Pixel Game Maker MV follows the story of Azul the Swordsman as he stands alone up to take on the peril awaiting his former kingdom. Through the use of swords, magic, and fantasy-style side-scrolling action, players will guide the exiled in his attempted to reclaim his lost his status, his honor, and the woman he loves, and with nothing left but a shabby, old steel sword.
