What happened…
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition was a surprise to all as projected winner JB’s Rashid was bested by Bryan “Dankadillas” Teran’s unstoppable Dhalsim in a 3-2 final score after a bracket reset. Upon winning the final match, Dankadillas exclaimed that the feeling of winning the qualifier was “unreal,” adding that he hopes his competition in DC in November is “ready for Dhalsim.”
The Tekken 7 brackets, fans were held at the edge of their seats, as a close match named Bryan “Yanflip” Eguarras the champion, defeating Inserity 3-2 in the Grand Finals. Upon winning the Finals, Yanflip graciously thanked his fans for their support and held his prize up high.
In Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, Keenan “Kizzie Kay” Kizzie earned his place among the trio headed to DC next year. Following a thrilling round of matches, Kizzie Kay remained undefeated throughout as he beat competitor Toki 3-1. The three winners are competitors who reportedly play in weekly tournaments and in the end, practice paid off as Dankadillas, Yanflip, and Kizzie Kay won prize packs and a trip to Washington D.C. this November to rep the region as SoCal’s fiercest fighters.
