Dive with a friend to discover the perils of a surreal world locked below the Arctic sea ice in the February 26 release of online co-op mode in first-person adventure game Debris from developer Moonray Studios. Following the soft launch of its single player campaign last October, Debris has players communicate between each other as they struggle to navigate toward escape and unravel what’s real and what are delusions.
To celebrate the addition of co-op, Moonray has released a brand new trailer highlighting its inclusion:
Following an accident, players must scramble to find power for their lifesystems, defeat mysterious and deadly creatures, and decipher what mysterious forces are attempting to prevent players from escape. In Debris players must negotiate choices amongst each other as their realities drift further and further apart.
Debris is designed based on the challenges facing those affected by psychosis, a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality, and created with the help of medical professionals, Debris explores the interplay between perception and reality in an unconventional narrative-driven co-op format.
