Streets of Rage had one of the better soundtracks from the Genesis, in case you didn’t know. Anyway, enjoy the details below.
Today at 4pm PST / 7pm EST, Red Bull radio will launch the third episode of Diggin in the Carts, a radio show exploring Japanese video game music through conversations with prolific Japanese video game composers, airing weekly on Wednesdays through December 20.
Episode three will feature a conversation between host Nick Dwyer and lead composer on Streets of Rage 3, Motohiro Kawashima, as he shares his experience about working with legendary composer Yuzo Koshiro and how club sounds influenced the Streets of Rage soundtracks.
The show will also dive into mid-‘90s jungle-inspired video game soundtracks, Parisian club king Teki Latex’s favorite music, and a first-hand account from VGM composer Yoko Kanno, known for her scores for Cowboy Bebop and Macross Plus.
We’d love for you to share this information with your readers who might be interested in tuning in to learn more about Motohiro Kawashima and Yoko Kanno. You can listen live at this link: https://www.redbullradio.com/shows/diggin-carts.
