After facing off for the last 3 months across 11 cities, the top amateur Street Fighter V players in North America are coming together to see who will take the crown at the Red Bull Proving Grounds 2017 – Fall Finals this Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 AM CT / 12:00 PM ET on Red Bull eSports’ Twitch channel. This is the first time that the Proving Grounds Finals will be open to the public and have a live audience in the venue.
This Proving Grounds Finals event is happening in Chicago, but the rest of the world can peek in and see these aspiring pros go head-to-head online this weekend. The livestream broadcast will offer viewers a quad-view of the entire tournament – rotating between four matches simultaneously with popular fighting game commentators Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Luis “Rynge” Avila, Michael “Yipes” Mendoza and Francis “Lee Chung” Chong. All four will commentate the grand finals between East & West teams.

The winning team at Proving Grounds will find themselves thrust into the spotlight in November with a trip to Boston for Red Bull Battle Grounds to see if they can hang with some of the top players in the world. These Proving Grounds events have been fertile developmental ground for up-and-comers with players like LI Joe and Punk dropping by to mix it up with the amateurs in the past.
Red Bull Proving Grounds 2017 – Fall Finals, live and open to the public for the first time, will see eSports athletes, hopefuls and fans converging at Joe’s Live Rosemont in Chicago for a trans-continental Street Fighter V tournament. Over the course of the day, 12 regional teams of 3 will compete in nail-biting 3v3 matches until one team reigns victorious.
