This is a neat video. Glad developers do things like this. Check out the details and video below.
Nine online friends from Germany, South Korea and all over the United States who have spent the past 3+ years playing Supercell’s hit mobile game Hay Day as part of the same in-game “neighborhood” just met for the first time. The short film of their meeting–directed by The Fines, Oscar winners for Best Documentary Short–debuts today on YouTube. We hope you will share it with your readers.
Supercell, makers of mobile games that entertain more than 100 million people per day, released the video, which is titled “The Neighborhood Hug.” In the video, players from across the world who have been playing Hay Day together for more than three years, meet in person for the very first time at a beautiful real-life farm. Hay Day, which is celebrating its fifth birthday this year, was Supercell’s first hit mobile game before Clash of Clans, Boom Beach and Clash Royale. In Hay Day, players learn the lay of the land, tend to their crops and trade goods with neighbors and friends. The Neighborhood Hug demonstrates how one game has brought together so many people from different backgrounds, languages and circumstances.
