DUNDEE, SCOTLAND – May 9, 2017 – After a highly positive reception from the launch of GameMaker Studio 2, YoYo Games is listening and responding to its community by releasing the game engine’s 2.06 update today. Version 2.06 is highlighted by new image editing tools and Visual Studio 2017 compatibility, two of the top features requested by the community. It also implements other quality-of-life improvements for the Windows and Mac versions of the globally popular 2D game engine.

“YoYo Games prides itself in its ability to engage with GameMaker Studio community feedback and make the adjustments they want the most,” said Mike Daily, head of engineering at YoYo Games. “If taking strides to streamline our toolsets means developers can more easily create video games, then we’re all for it – the more games the merrier.”
