Epic Games details Unreal Engine 4.14 features on Twitch (and of course more news)

Epic Games has been hard at work on Unreal Engine 4.14 and is giving a hands-on look at the new features and improvements included with the upcoming release! 2016 EPIC MEGAJAM WINNERS ANNOUNCED
During last week’s UE4 Twitch livestream, the Epic team announced the winners of the 2016 Epic MegaJam! This year’s MegaJam was truly mega, with more than 190 teams and 430 developers submitting their projects, displaying the creativity of the Unreal Engine developer community. Winners included games from a wide variety of genres, and can be found on the Unreal Engine blog and in a new highlight video here.

EPIC ANNOUNCES MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL GAME SUMMIT 2016 PLANS
The 2016 Montreal International Game Summit kicks off on November 13 and Epic has announced two new informative Unreal Engine sessions at the conference. The “Unreal Engine 101” session will serve as an introduction to UE4 and provide a look at the engine’s powerful tools, while the “Integrating 3rd-Party SDKs into UE4” session will highlight various methods of adding third-party functionality into UE4.

ROBO RECALL PLAYABLE AT VRTGO 2016
Great news for VRTGO attendees! The organizers recently announced that Epic’s action-packed virtual reality game, Robo Recall, will be playable at the conference taking place in Newcastle Gateshead, UK on November 9. Attendees will be among the first people in Europe to try out the critically-acclaimed demo, which features creative combat, gratifying gameplay and an in-depth scoring system. Robo Recall will be released for free early next year.

OCTOBER UNREAL ENGINE MARKETPLACE UPDATES
October has proven to be a busy month for Unreal Engine developers with the addition of several new assets in the Unreal Engine Marketplace. Highlights include Gesture Tracker VR by Hunter Delattre, which utilizes motion controls to create stunning effects based on hand gestures, the Mega Game Music Collection by MuzStation, and Dinozavr’s QTE System by Dino Zavr.

VR FUNHOUSE GAME JAM INTRODUCES NEW UE4 MODS
A new trailer for the VR Funhouse Game Jam offers a glimpse into the experience had by developers aboard the M.S. Bleichen in Hamburg, Germany earlier this September. Developers from across Europe had only 48 hours to create a variety of new VR content utilizing the UE4-powered VR Funhouse Mod Kit. Several of the mods built during the event can now be found on the VR Funhouse Steam workshop page here.
