PlayStation Vue gets HBO and Cinemax

HBO and Cinemax are launching today on PlayStation™Vue, the pioneering Internet-based live TV service from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Consumers will also have a new option with the introduction of a new PlayStation Vue plan offering, “Ultra,” which includes HBO, SHOWTIME® and more than 100 top sports, movie, and TV channels for $64.99 per month ($74.99 in cities with most major live local broadcast stations*). Additionally, HBO NOW, the standalone streaming service, launches today on PlayStation®4 (PS4™) and PlayStation®3 (PS3™) systems for new and existing users.

HBO joins PlayStation Vue just ahead of the highly anticipated series premiere of the sci-fi drama, Westworld, airing on October 2. Users who sign up for HBO via PlayStation Vue can also watch critically acclaimed shows including Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley, live and on-demand on PlayStation Vue. With PlayStation Vue’s unmatched cloud DVR, users can record hundreds of shows at once with conflict-free recording.
