TOP GUN on DigitalHD gets new interviews with Cruise and Bruckheimer

The pop culture touchstone that captured the imagination of moviegoers around the world celebrates its 30th anniversary as TOP GUN arrives today on Digital HD from Paramount Home Media Distribution.  With loads of special features available digitally for the first time, the Digital HD release also includes brand new interviews with Tom Cruise and producer Jerry Bruckheimer recorded in 2016 to mark the film’s 30th anniversary.
             
Relive the action-packed thrill-ride and return to 1986 as Cruise and Bruckheimer share their memories of making the film and what it took to bring the story of an elite group of pilots competing to earn the title of “Top Gun” to the big screen.  Hear their personal stories as they reminisce about the challenges they faced and share their thoughts on the film’s enduring cultural impact.  Plus, discover what may lie ahead for Maverick.
             
TOP GUN was originally released on May 16, 1986 and ultimately earned a worldwide box office of over $350 million.  Tom Cruise is superb as the cocky but talented pilot Maverick and Kelly McGillis sizzles as the civilian instructor who teaches him a few things you can’t learn in a classroom.  Featuring a sensational soundtrack with unforgettable songs including Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone”, the film also stars Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Meg Ryan.
             
TOP GUN is also available in a Limited Edition Blu-ray Combo Steelbook.  The Combo Pack includes access to a Digital HD copy of the film that can be redeemed through iTunes, along with the new interviews with Cruise and Bruckheimer.
