UE4 WINS BEST REAL-TIME EXPERIENCE AT SIGGRAPH
The Epic team is thrilled to take home the award for Best Interactive Real-time Experience at SIGGRAPH for the A Boy and His Kite real-time cinematic. Honored during SIGGRAPH’s Real Time Live! event, the short film not only showcases UE4’s open world features and rendering capabilities but also presents a touching story with genuine heart and emotion.
The Kite open world demo, which Epic has released for free, includes 100 square miles of realistic landscape brought to life with dynamic direct and indirect illumination, cinematic depth of field, high-quality motion blur and procedurally placed trees and foliage, all rendered in real time.

CRYZENX RELEASES UNREAL INTERIOR DEMO
YouTuber CryZENx has exploded these past weeks, creating some of the most incredible fan-made demos the community has ever seen. He’s explored developing Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon and, more recently, Star Fox, all on UE4.
This week, CryZENx released a realistic demo of the interior of an apartment. The video showcases a highly detailed, lush apartment, very similar to the popular Unreal Paris video by Benoit Dereau.
