Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced that hundreds of thousands of PlayStation®4 (PS4™) owners have embraced the integrated streaming capabilities of the PS4 computer entertainment system. There have been nearly 800,000 gameplay broadcasts and more than 7.1 million spectate sessions via video streaming platforms, Twitch and Ustream, totaling more than 20 million minutes of live gameplay streamed from PS4™ systems.*1
Ten percent of all content on Twitch has come from PS4 systems since the November 15 launch in the U.S. and Canada and the November 29 launch in Europe, Australasia and Latin America, based on average minutes broadcast.*2 Ustream is reporting an average of 31 minutes of streaming per broadcaster.*3 A few of the top games broadcasted are Battlefield 4™ from Electronic Arts Inc., Killzone™ Shadow Fall from Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS), and Call of Duty®: Ghosts from Activision.
