NARR8, a free mobile app and digital publisher of motion comics, interactive novels, and educational nonfiction series, extended their business model today by introducing in-app purchase options to Android 4.0+ users via the Google Play platform.
Earlier this year, NARR8 introduced their in-app purchase system to iOS platforms as a part of their evolving business model. This model uses virtual currency called “NARRs,” which, when used, reveal features, series, collectibles and more. “NARRs” can be gained either through daily use of the application or by purchasing them in the app. Opening the app every day will accrue the full weekly bonus of 120 NARRs per week. The cost of one new episode is less than one dollar. Users can purchase bundles of 100, 300, 500, or 1000 NARRs. Auto play for motion comics costs less than one dollar as well.
Today NARR8 announced the integration of their monetization efforts for Android devices. As always, NARR8 will continue to be free to download and use. The first two episodes of each series along with all user-generated content will also be free to download and available on mobile devices.
NARR8, which launched on iPad with 200,000+ downloads in its first two weeks (currently boasting over 800,000 users) was ranked No. 1 in the ‘Top Free Entertainment’ apps section of Apple’s website and received a 4.5 of 5 stars on Google Play. The creative content channel is available in four languages and houses stories of all genres that educate and entertain readers thanks to fluid animations, original music and interactive features.
NARR8 is free to download for iPad through the Apple App Store and for Android devices on Google Play, and coming soon on Kindle Fire.
