SI.com’s Extra Mustard folks detail their top 10 LucasArts games.

10. Star Wars Unleashed – Love the character that was built for this story, and somewhat the game. The sequel was highly forgettable, though.

9. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds – Our PC guy will tell you this belongs at #1, but not me. A good online game that featured a bunch of innovations for its time period.

8. Day of the Tentacle – A sorta sequel to Maniac Mansion (actually, it was a sequel). It featured a good script, great voice acting and just wackiness.

7. Sam & Max: Hit the Road – If you haven’t played this, then you need to play it. The humor is epic, slightly adult and definitely warped. Soundblaster 16 required.

6. Grim Fandango – I just didn’t take to this one as well as the others, but the unique art and fantastic acting really made it special. It took forever to hit retails — or at least it seemed that way.

5. The Secret of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge – Tougher, sassier and definitely funnier. Truly a good follow-up to an epic original.

4. Full Throttle – Badassness in 3 1/2-inch disks (with a K). A tough guy on a motorcycle that is controlled through point-click is something to be happy about.

3. LOOM – A unique, original game that built excitement around — quilting? Sounds weird, but you will be hard-pressed to find a more creative game.

2. The Dig – This should have been a film. The narrative is riveting, while the gameplay and puzzles are memorable. Steven Spielberg produced, so you know it’s good. Steven Spielberg before he got fully family friendly.

1a – Maniac Mansion – The beginning of point and click, and pretty much the SCUMM engine (and it’s variety of other gross programming counterparts). A story of a boy and his friends, a meteor, a hamster in a microwave (except on NES) and a very, very, very warped/sick family.

1b – The Secret of Monkey Island – Can you really go wrong with controlling a pirate named Guybrush Threepwood? Add that name to insulting/sword fighting and you have yourself an adventure. Just don’t let the ship guy talk you up on a ship sale.

Honor Mention: Zak McKraken and the Alien Mindbinders, All the Indiana Jones and Star Wars 1313 (what could have been — sigh).
