As you may know, Nintendo revealed some pretty amazing new information last week about Nintendo 3DS. Since the system’s release in March, 2011, Nintendo has sold over 20 million games for 3DS and 3DS XL and almost 50 games available for those systems have a Metacritic score of 75 or higher.
In 2013, sales of first party games have grown 55%, compared to the same period in 2012. With 67% of 3DS owners now connecting to the Nintendo eShop, the digital shop has seen 41 million downloads, an average of more than 1.5 million items per month.
Sales and data points aside, some of the most exciting news is the array of thrilling new games coming to the system. 2013 is ready to explode with games exclusively for Nintendo 3DS: new entries for Yoshi’s Island, Legend of Zelda and Mario Party. Players can also look forward to Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Mario Golf World Tour and Shin Megami Tensei 4.
