Silver Spring, MD — One of the most highly acclaimed and popular programs on PBS arrives in a value-priced collection with 22 highly-entertaining mysteries in Foyle’s War: The Home Front Files (Sets 1-6) on DVD from Acorn on March 12, 2013; timed with the series’ return to Masterpiece Mystery! on PBS in September 2013. Michael Kitchen stars as DCS Christopher Foyle, who investigates crimes on the home front as WWII rages. The DVD 22-disc set features the complete U.K. broadcast edition of the 22 mysteries, plus interviews with series writer and creator Anthony Horowitz (Poirot, Midsomer Murders), co-stars Anthony Howell and Honeysuckle Weeks, making-of documentaries,  notes on a real-life Foyle, and more ($149.99, AcornOnline.com). Acorn is simultaneously re-releasing Sets 1-6 as DVD 3-disc and 4-disc sets in new, slim-line packaging ($49.99 each). Three new episodes will air on Masterpiece Mystery! on PBS and will arrive on DVD as Foyle’s War, Set 7 in September 2013.
