At San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, 5th Cell and Mojang announced a partnership across Minecraft and Hybrid, the 3rd person tactical shooter launching exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade this summer.
When players reach level 20 in Hybrid, they will be able to equip two unique Minecraft helmets dependent on their faction. The Variant faction will allow players to use the Creeper helmet and Paladins will be able to equip a Steve helmet. In Minecraft, players will be able to switch up their avatars and play as a Minecraft-imported Hybrid avatar of either a Variant or Paladin.
As part of the epic multiplayer showdown between the Paladin and Variant factions when Hybrid launches on August 8th, players will be able to partake in competitive seasons where the champions will be able to equip the Helm O’ Glory while losers will head home with the Bag O’ Shame helmet.
