Guacamelee! to be released through SCEA’s Pub Fund Initiative

TORONTO, Ontario – May 31st,  2012  –
Toronto-based developer DrinkBox Studios announced today that their Mexican-themed co-op-multiplayer dimension-swapping Metroid-vania beat-em-up platformer “Guacamelee!” will be released via the SCEA “Pub Fund” program on PlayStation®Network  for the PlayStation®3 system and PlayStation®Vita system.

Guacamelee! Producer and DrinkBox Co-founder Graham Smith had this to say about the initiative: “Sony has been really great to work with in the past, and we are excited to continue working with them to have the opportunity to bring our new game to their platforms via the Pub Fund program”. Graham went on to talk about his favourite Canadian hobbies, moose hunting and building snow forts, but this discussion was extremely boring and has been intentionally omitted here.

The game is currently slated for an early 2013 release and will be shown in the Sony booth next week at E3 (July 5th-7th). More information on the game can be found at www.guacamelee.com. As of this writing, no animals have been harmed in the development of Guacamelee!.
