Bastion makes it to Steam

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Supergiant Games are pleased to announce that Bastion, the award-winning indie action RPG recently released on Xbox LIVE Arcade, is now available for PC. Offering high-resolution graphics and an all-new PC control scheme, the game can be purchased on Steam for $14.99 USD and will be released on other popular PC portals later this month. A free demo of Bastion is also available today, and features the opening chapter of the game. To get Bastion on Steam, visit its product page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/107100

Also available now is the highly acclaimed Bastion Original Soundtrack, which features 22 original tracks, including the much-talked-about “Build That Wall (Zia’s Theme)”, plus never-before-heard bonus tracks all composed by Supergiant Games’ audio director Darren Korb. For one week only, the game plus the soundtrack can be purchased together for 20% off on Steam. The soundtrack can be streamed for free or purchased in DRM-free digital format for $10 at: http://supergiantgames.bandcamp.com/

Bastion has earned numerous accolades for its unique atmosphere and narrative style, deep yet accessible combat, and distinctive presentation. The game received ten E3 awards this year including the Game Critics Award for Best Downloadable Game, Game Informer Magazine’s award for Best Downloadable Game, and G4tv.com’s award for Most Original Game.

The PC version of Bastion is available DRM-free and includes Steamworks support for Cloud saves, achievements, and leaderboards (Steam version only). Featuring lush and imaginative artwork in full 1080p resolution as well as an innovative reactive narration system that responds to players’ actions in real time, the game challenges players to build a new world after a cataclysmic event shatters the land to pieces.  As players journey into the wild unknown, they will confront savage beasts, forge an array of customizable weapons, and gain new powers from specially-brewed spirits as they become immersed in the game’s rich atmosphere. Gameplay is designed to reward player skill, offering great customization including the new remappable PC control scheme. Bastion for PC also supports gamepad controllers.

Bastion for PC will be playable this week at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany from Thursday through Sunday at the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment both at Koelnmesse GmbH. It will also be at PAX Prime next week, taking place in the Seattle Convention Center, as part of the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment booth.
