August 4, 2011 (Omaha, Nebraska) – Cyber Sports Network (CSN) is excited to announce their partnership with id Software and Bethesda Softworks at this year’s QuakeCon – a free four-day, non-stop celebration of games and the people who play them, being held August 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. As the official organizer of the Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) competitions, CSN will offer participants of QuakeCon an organized and competitive structure of tournaments.
CSN will offer over six (6) BYOC competitive tournaments throughout the duration of the event along with various casual events for all participants, with over one thousand ($1,000) dollars in cash and prizes. As a special treat to BYOC attendees, players can test their mettle by participating in the QUAKE LIVE Open Duel Tournament; which will feature identical rules to the Intel QUAKE LIVE Masters Invitational tournaments. These events will be organized and administered by a staff of twelve (12) of the top eSports Admins and personalities using the CSN tournament structure and website. QuakeCon participants will be encouraged to submit additional tournament ideas for the CSN staff to structure and organize, making use of the CSN website and tournament system.
All Cyber Sports Network tournaments will be free to join for QuakeCon BYOC participants and specific prizes for all events will be determined during the event. CSN looks forward to providing the participants of this year’s QuakeCon an opportunity to compete in organized tournaments and events.
