SCEA says… “Welcome back”

June 3, 2011 – Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) today announced the availability of content offered through the ‘Welcome Back’ appreciation program for qualifying PlayStation®Network registered account holders in North America, where applicable.  The program, which launches today, features a collection of content, including full games and movie rentals from the PlayStation®Store, access to PlayStation Plus as well as PlayStation®Home virtual items, personal spaces and an all-new game.

Starting today, qualifying account holders can choose two games each for PlayStation®3 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) systems from the ‘Welcome Back’ collection and get 30-day access to PlayStation Plus* at no cost to consumers.  Existing subscribers for Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity™ and PlayStation®Plus will automatically receive subscription extensions, with no additional action required.  The 100 virtual items and two personal spaces can be found in the kiosk in PlayStation Home’s Central Plaza.

Qualifying account holders may also download three movie rentals throughout this weekend from the “On Us” video section of the PlayStation Store at no cost.  As an added bonus, PlayStation Network users that access the upcoming Ooblag Alien Casino space later this month in PlayStation Home will be given a version of the Ooblag game at no additional cost.
