LOS ANGELES (May 19, 2011) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced today that CHAOS RINGS® OMEGA™ is now available on the iTunes® Store (www.itunes.com) and App Store™ worldwide.
CHAOS RINGS OMEGA is the highly anticipated prequel to the critically acclaimed CHAOS RINGS, which was a best-selling app in 15 countries and was also chosen as a recipient of Apple Inc.’s “iTunes Rewind 2010” award. The prequel features evolved gameplay and a storyline that will allow players to experience an unforgettable RPG experience on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
Set 10,000 years before CHAOS RINGS, players will now follow the story of Vieg, who has been summoned to the Ark Arena to fight to the death, and experience the events leading up to the original game. The first CHAOS RINGS story began with the following line: “A tale of love and loss 10,000 years in the making.” Now, in CHAOS RINGS OMEGA, players have a chance to discover and experience the events that set the entire saga into motion.
Featuring a turn-based battle system, players are given the choice between “solo” moves, where they can enter commands separately, or “pair” moves, to execute actions as a team. Working as a pair allows the characters to concentrate their efforts for more effective power. Defeating enemy monsters allows players to obtain specific DNA information called “genes,” which players can equip to learn the monster’s magic and special attack moves.
