EA SPORTS™ announced today that it is allowing fans to help select the cast of the new SSX™. Hosted on the game’s Facebook page, the SSX Character Voting will run for three weeks and asks fans to choose the characters from the franchise’s past that they would like to see join the new faces of the franchise when SSX makes its return in January 2012.
Each week four characters from past SSX titles will be featured on the SSX Character Voting tab at http://www.facebook.com/EASPORTSSSX. SSX fans will be asked to select three out of those four characters that they would like to see make an appearance in the new SSX.
Voting Schedule:
Week of April 25 – Kaori, JP, Moby, Viggo
Week of May 2 – Zoe, Mac, Nate, Allegra
Week of May 9 – Psymon, Eddie, Griff, Tyson
A stunning reinvention of the classic action snowboarding franchise, SSX packs adrenaline and over-the-top gameplay into every run. Players will jump into the shoes of some of their favorite characters from SSX Tricky and SSX 3 to race, trick and survive all of the world’s major mountain ranges. Based on real-world topographical data, all of the mountain ranges in SSX have been meticulously designed to deliver a gameplay experience that is true to the rich history of one of the most beloved franchises in the video game industry, while bringing it forward to harness the power of the current generation of consoles.
SSX is in development at EA Canada under the EA SPORTS™ brand, and will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and the PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system. The game has not yet been rated by the ESRB or PEGI.
