SAN FRANCISCO  (March 16, 2010) – SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that Infinite Space™, the new role-playing game exclusively for the Nintendo DS™ portable handheld system is shipping to retailers across North America.  Command your crew and assemble your own spaceship fleet and embark on a cosmic adventure that will delve deep into the vast outer reaches of space, exploring a universe filled with planets and interstellar organizations.

Produced by Atsushi Inaba (of PlatinumGames) and directed by Hifumi Kouno (of Nude Maker), the powerhouse team created a highly detailed game and universe for gamers who have always dreamt of space exploration and commanding their own spaceships, all of which fits perfectly onto the Nintendo DS. Infinite Space follows the story of Yuri, a young boy who longs for adventure that awaits him in space, and journeys through the galactic frontier to discover space and his true destiny. Yuri must battle against the tyrannical dictators and space pirates while unraveling the mysteries of the epitaph, an object known to have the power to change the world. As the story unfolds, Yuri grows into a commander powerful enough to take control of not only his ship, but also his fleet to battle against massive enemies.

Using over 100 spaceship blueprints, players will be able to build and customize a huge array of space ships with over 200 modules to choose from. Players will battle their way through space to become the strongest fleet in the galaxy while exploring the vastness space and saving the universe.

Infinite Space delivers excellent replay value with an epic storyline containing multiple branching story arcs that weave together seamlessly to create one epic tale set amongst the stars. The game offers over 70 hours of gameplay and the replayability of Infinite Space make it stand out from any DS title currently in the market. The game also features multiplayer combat through local wireless connection for up to two players.
