Burbank, Calif., January 26, 2010 – Continuing to provide fans the classics they love, Warner Home Video (WHV) and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will release two four-title sets from the TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection on May 4, 2010. Since February 2009, the collections have been made available in separate waves and promoted throughout the year on TCM (a complete listing of all collections is included below).
This latest installment consists of 1) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: War – Battle of the Bulge, The Dawn Patrol, Gunga Din and Operation Pacific; 2) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Westerns – Chisum, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, The Stalking Moon, Ride The High Country. Each collection is affordably priced at $27.92 SRP. Orders are due March 30, 2010.
The eight films above showcase the talents of Hollywood icons such as John Wayne, Cary Grant, Errol Flynn, Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews, James Coburn, Bob Dylan, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Joan Fontaine, Robert Forster, Mariette Hartley, Kris Kristofferson, David Niven, Gregory Peck, Slim Pickens, Jason Robards, Eva Marie Saint, Randolph Scott, Robert Shaw, Forest Tucker, and more.
The TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection builds on the success of previous joint initiatives between Turner Classic Movies and Warner Home Video, including the TCM Archives series and the TCM Spotlight series.
