Warner Brothers to release TCM Classics Wave Four in November

Burbank, Calif., July 6, 2009 – The last wave of timeless treasures will be released this fall as Warner Home Video and Turner Classic Movies introduce the final four four-title sets from the TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection on November 3, 2009. Starting this past February, the collections have been made available in separate waves and promoted throughout the year on TCM. (A complete listing of all collections is included below.)

This last and final installment consists of 1) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Holiday –A Christmas Carol, Christmas in Connecticut, The Shop Around the Corner and It Happened on 5th Avenue; 2) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Comedy – Arsenic and Old Lace, A Night at the Opera, The Long, Long Trailer and Father of the Bride; 3) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Family – National Velvet, Lassie Come Home, Flipper and The Incredible Mr. Limpet, and 4) TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Hitchcock Thrillers – Suspicion, Strangers on a Train, I Confess, and The Wrong Man. Each collection is affordably priced at $27.92 SRP.

The 16 films above showcase the talents of Hollywood icons such as Cary Grant, Raymond Massey, Peter Lorre, Spencer Tracy, Elizabeth Taylor, Mickey Rooney, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, The Marx Brothers, Don Knotts, Roddy MacDowall, Montgomery Clift, Henry Fonda and more.

TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection stands as the largest-ever partnership between Warner Home Video and Turner Classic Movies. The initiative combines the strengths of the companies in serving both serious film buffs and a new generation of movie lovers.
