CENTURY CITY, Calif. – When two people on opposite sides of the globe connect, they must figure out a way to bridge the gap in The Other End of the Line, debuting on March 31 from MGM Home Entertainment. Jesse Metcalfe (“Desperate Housewives”) and Bollywood sensations Shriya Saran and Anupam Kher, star in a lighthearted modern day love story about an unexpected relationship between a charming New York executive and a call center employee based in Mumbai. Pretending to live in San Francisco and perfecting her American accent, Priya (Shriya) falls for American businessman, Granger Williams (Metcalfe) after contacting him about credit card charges. Young and spontaneous, Priya takes a chance at true love and secretly travels to San Francisco when Granger suggests they meet while in town for business. When Priya’s parents find out, they take the first plane to San Francisco and embark on a wild goose chase through the city to find and bring Priya back home. A fun-filled romantic comedy, The Other End of the Line also features Larry Miller (The Nutty Professor), Sarah Foster (The Big Bounce) and Tara Sharma (Masti), and is filmed on location throughout India. Synopsis:
A beautiful credit card phone operator lives in India but pretends to be American to her callers. Soon she travels to the United States without telling her family in order to meet a New York man that she’s met over the phone.
