Tsubasa Vol. 11

Tsubasa Vol. 11

This volume starts out with our favorite characters landing in a world they have been in before, the land of Nayutaya.  The last time they were here, they were given the job of helping the town overthrow their dominating feudal lord.  When they arrive back though, the land is not as peaceful as they hoped it would be.  Every night there have been attacks on the town, leaving the victims in a soul-less stone-like state.  The attacks are being led by the late feudal lords son, Bullgal, who is manipulating the “people” of a world attached to the back of Nayutaya, like two sides of a coin.  There are quotes around the world people because they are not actually humans, they are called Hiyo soldiers, and they think very lowly of humans.  So Bullgal who has Sakuras feather and is using is power, is manipulating the Hiyo soldiers to steal the souls of the humans in the nearby world, creating tension and distrust between the two species.  Syaoran and the group intervene just in time, before a deadly war was about to break out between the two worlds.  Syaoran retrieves Sakura’s feather and returns it to its rightful owner.

Syaoran, Sakura, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokono then find themselves in Ragtime world.  This world’s economy is currently slowing down, causing many people to search for jobs in vain, for there are few to be had.  The group finds Sakura’s feather in a boutique window, fastened to a brooch and for sale.  The only problem is that they don’t have any of this world’s currency so they have to find jobs.  This proves almost impossible for the men, but Sakura has a little better luck with it.  She is able to procure several different jobs, but calamity strikes soon after she starts each one.  Eventually they all end up working at the same place and making enough to buy Sakura’s feather back.  Time to travel to a new world.

The next world they find themselves in is called the land of Tao, where everybody in that land, even visitors, is able to use a power called senriki.  There are different levels of power, and Syaoran and his friends are already able to use the second level of this power, giving them the ability to fly.  The ruler of the land, Feather-King Chaos, somehow found himself in possession of a plethora of Sakura’s feathers, which he bound to make a fan.  Will he be a kind king and promptly return the feathers or will another battle ensue between our friends and the ruler of a world?
